The REI Wheely Beast wheeled luggage offers plenty of room, ergonomic touches and durability to withstand the roughest travel.
- Main bag features a panel opening zipper for easy access and a separate top zippered compartment for wet clothes and dirty boots
- Rugged wheels roll smoothly and quietly as you dash through the airport terminal and navigate your way to the hotel lobby
- Telescoping handle lets you pull the duffel with ease and control
- Small exterior side-zip pocket allows quick stashing of last-minute items such as a multi-tool, toothbrush and passport
- Top and side compression straps cinch the load tight, helping to stabilize your gear during travel
- Features a foam-padded main carry handle for traditional duffel-style carrying; padded grab-handles at each end allow quick 2-person loading from ground to car, train or boat
- Rigid high-density polyethylene (HDPE) panel supports bag when rolling; bottom bumper allows bag to stand when parked

I was actually surprised at how large this bag really is. My wife and I were looking for two bags that we could pack our families (family of 4) belongings in. We travel frequently stateside and abroad and simply wanted to cut down on the amount of luggage we carried. This bag has allowed us to do just that and it appears to be well constructed. I wouldn't call us "light" packers either. We pack what we need without worry too much about weight and our children our young which means we have all the extras like diapers too.
This is a good buy!

Excellent wheeled duffle that is very well made and rugged. The 28" bag is large and can easily accomodate one (1) week of clothing and gear without issues.
The wheels and pull assembly are rugged and appear that they will give many years of satisfactory use.

I have yet to use this for air travel but it is a very well made bag. Seams are very well sewn and I fully expect this bag to last for a good long time. Wheels are solid and the handle feels solid. I am very satisfied.

I am a pro nature photographer and my bags get pretty rough treatment all over the world. I bought this as a companion to my REI large roller duffel. This is a terrific, well thought-out bag. My only complaint is that, unlike the larger bag, it does not have interior ties. Curious.

Compartment for wet/dirty items is big enough to hold a light rain jacket and is easy to access. Compression straps are well designed. Small details like the hidden holder for your baggage ID are well thought out.

I bought this for an upcoming trip. While researching products, I was surprised to find size limitations for checked baggage. I wanted to buy the bigger version of this duffel, but it would be subject to surcharges on Delta. Bought this one instead and think it quite large. No trip experience yet, but it is very attractive and durable looking. Got the burnt orange to distinguish among the all the black bags at baggage pickup. So far, would highly recommend based upon examination, but cannot comment based on long-term use.
