Comments about Dansko Sigrid Sandals - Women's - 2011 Closeout:

This size 38 just fits my 7.5 foot, and probably would not accomodate a size 8 foot. Does not look as well made as older model Dansko shoes made in other countries. The straps/uppers are glued on to the side of the shoe, and sewn on. The footbed appears to be glued to the sole. Older Danskos actually had the straps put between the footbed and the sole and then sewn in. The footbeds were sewn into the sole. The footbeds used to be leather, but now are a fuzzy material that is a suede wanna-be. I haven't worn them yet, but they are comfortable when I try them on. While I would not pay full price for these, I worry enough about the quality that I am not rushing to put them on and wear them. I am considering returning them, even at the reduced price. If they appeared to be as well made as my other Danskos, this would be a done deal.
