by frompricey and cramped It's a bit roomy two person tent - not a three person. As others said, do the math ; you can't fit two reguar width sleeping pads inside. The footprint material is super-noisy, that will keep everyone around you awake all night, if you are a fidgy sleeper. If they would fix the footprint material and make it at least 62 inches wide, it would be a winner

by fromtop notch tent I have owned this tent for a little over two years and have used it many times in a variety of conditions across the Midwest and Rockies. I've taken it backcountry camping, where its lightness is a great asset, especially considering its size. It is also my go-to tent for car camping with family. The tent is extremely easy to set up and very quick to do so. The fly is spacious and creates great sized vestibules. While the vestibules need to be anchored to work, I have not been in a position where I have been unable to rig a way to get the fly and vestibules to anchor; sometimes using heavy rocks etc where the tent was on solid rock. The tent is a snug 3 person fit, but it can be done. Most importantly, this tent has proven to be 100% waterproof. Amazingly waterproof actually. Most recently, over the 2013 4th of July holiday, the tent was subjected to 3+ days of non-stop driving rain or mist and moderate winds. Zero water entered the tent during the entire time. If I were to suggest one flaw in the tent that could improve the performance if it were changed, I would encourage Mountain Hardware to change the fabric or construction on the baffles that cover the zippers on the fly. The fabric is very lightweight and thin. When it gets wet it becomes very pliant and has a profound tendency to get sucked really deeply into the zipper. Even paying really close attention to how you operate the zipper doesn't always seem to keep it from getting sucked into it. I've ripped the baffle twice on seperate occasions because the fabric has gotten sucked in so far and tightly. And of course, it only happens when it is raining buckets and thus my attempts to get it unstuck are hurried and less careful than they would otherwise be. At any rate, I've had the baffle fabric patched both times and the tent rebounds just fine. A slightly stiffer fabric would solve this problem, but that observation is super knit-picky. This tent is fantastic and I recommend it often!

by fromZero Regrets I concur and confirm the "pros" that Northwest StratoVolcano has aptly described. I have owned this tent for three years now. It has battled EXTREME winds in the country of Mongolia multiple times -- no contest; Skyledge wins. It has endured flooding conditions in the US Midwest -- again no contest; we stayed bone dry. It has been pitched in the exposed high country of Colorado and Mongolia on single digit nights; again the Skyledge wins; we were warm and toasty with minimal condensation. I often camp in extreme conditions, and I really appreciate that the fly is TRULY full coverage. The fly extends out over the tub of the tent completely all the around. So the elements stay out. I have had no problems with the zipper baffles as Volcano has described, and I have used the tent in very wet weather. I think the only concern I might have with this tent is using it in warm humid climates on humid, rainy nights. I am thinking of places like Georgia. It does not have vents in the top of the fly, so it may battle condensation in those conditions, but I don't know. I would definitely test it in these conditions if I lived in the South. There are ways to vent the tent by unzipping the vestibule zippers on both sides from the top when they are zipped closed to the bottom (dual zippers). I have gotten some good air flow doing this. Awesome tent. A bit pricey for sure, but WELL worth the investment. Zero regrets.

by fromGreat all around tent This is a great tent. It is light, yet roomy. The fly completely covers the tent (down to the ground), which makes it water tight. It is very stable in the wind. I like the windows. For me, the two doors and two vestibules are critical as they provide easy access, excellent cross ventilation, and lots of room for gear, dogs, etc. I have used this in hot humid conditions and the ventilation is excellent. Set up is super quick and easy. We also own the Drifter, and this is much nice tent (but also more expensive). Mountain Hardware is making great stuff.
