The Mountainsmith Youth Scout external frame pack provides a comfortable backpacking experience for kids.
- Air-mesh back panel keeps kids cool and comfortable; dual-density foam in hipbelt and shoulder straps provides cushioned comfort for the long haul
- 2 load adjusters help balance the load on their back for all-day trekking comfort
- Durable nylon fabric with ballistic reinforcements stands up to wear and tear; sturdy aluminum frame supports heavy loads
- Top flap with zippered pocket covers the collared storm shield with drawcord closure
- Zippered side pockets with pass-through sleeves and a large front pocket keep essentials handy
- Lash extra gear to outside of pack with daisy chain attachment points
- Sleeping bag sling with quick-release hardware keeps sleeping bag under the pack body, providing some protection from the elements

The pack is very adjustable. My son is on the small side, so I think this pack will grow with him for a while. The pack itself is light weight, but feels sturdy. There are a lot of pockets to keep my son organized and separated.
