With so many choices in rain products I was somewhat in a quandry. I've only owned Merrell shoes before and never clothing so this was a bit of a gamble. But as with the shoes, the jacket is proving to be very well made and very well designed. I like the adjustability of various aspects, such as hood and sleeves. I was hoping that this jacket would not be too warm so I could use on warmer rainy days, and it seems like that will be the case. I do think that with the proper layering this would also be useful in cooler temps. When not on the trails this is a pretty good looking garment too. I'm very happy with the purchase.

I really liked the design and construction of the jacket, but on my first use the rain soaked into the outer material and the inside of the jacket was damp. This was after an hour or two in relatively light rain. The water simply did not bead up like it should.
