The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Merrell Torrent Glove Water Shoes - Men's:
I bought these specifically for sea kayaking in warm weather. Previous water shoes I've had were too bulky, particularly those that have an extended sole behind the heal (like most running shoes do), making it difficult to fit my feet inside the cockpit without my toes jambed up against the deck. These have soles no longer than my feet, that are just stiff enough to allow walking on rocks. Grip is pretty good on wet surfaces. Like most mesh water shoes, sand can and does get in when wading, but I don't see any way around that.
For my first day or two of wearing, there was some irritation from rough spots inside where several pieces of fabric come together along the lacing loops. This seemed to resolve itself, though I'm not sure I would want to hike in them. I should mention that I have a wide foot, so I'm sure that didn't help.
So far I'm pleased with them. Hopefully they will hold up. My most recent pair of Teva water shoes self-destructed in a matter of months.

Comments about Merrell Torrent Glove Water Shoes - Men's:
Great shoe with a low profile. No support (which is a positive) as the shoe is designed for this. Great for low impact hiking, or wet dry situations. It's become my daily shoe as I dress in casual sport gear most days.
