The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Marin Marin Redwood Bike - 2013:
After years of riding aggressive geometry hard tails on rail trails, my wife and I decided it was time to "sit up straight" and add a few comforts to our long riding days. We are big rail trail bikers and camp with a Bob trailer at times. We looked around for several years searching for the right level of components, upright geometry, and top quality at a nice price point. A "comfort mountain bike if you will." Bingo! The Marin Redwood met our requirements...and purchasing during a 15% off promotion certainly made the decision easier ...plus the super REI warranty!

Comments about Marin Marin Redwood Bike - 2013:
Bought this bike over the "anniversary sale weekend". I bought the "Burley Piccolo trail a bike" that attaches to a rear rack which could not be done on any of the 3 bikes we already own. I was looking for a hybrid/comfort bike that would be rugged enough to go over grass and curbs ( going to the playground) and cushy enough for longer road rides. This bike has seat post shock absorbers and a front fork shock absorber that can be locked out when you don't need it to allow max power to help you tow a trailer or trail a bike. I bought the 19" frame in the "male" version so that my husband and I could share the bike. I am 5'6" and he is 6'3". We have both used it now and with the quick release seat it's simple to switch back and forth. It's aggressive enough that you can stand up on the pedals but upright enough that you are not hunched over.
