    This is a great hat. I ordered the L/XL, but was sent the S/M. It's a good thing, though. The L/XL would have been huge, and I'm about 6 foot, 180lbs.

    I was a little apprehensive about the fit when I read another review that said the hat rides low. Well, that's true. If you pull the hat all the way down, it'll be pushing your ears out to the sides. But that's not how military style hats are supposed to worn. Unlike a baseball cap, military caps sit up a bit higher on the head so that they can maintain their square look. So just expect to let this hat ride a bit higher on the head than your usual baseball cap.

    As for the function, it's great. I've been wearing this for a couple weeks now, and then put a baseball cap on and it felt like there was just so much hat-bill! Military style caps give you just enough bill to shield your eyes, but they don't get in the way when you're preforming tasks. I've never been able to rock climb with a cap, because at some point my head gets too close to the rock and it knocks my cap off. With this, I can imagine that that wouldn't be as much of an issue. I'm eager to beat it up a little playing outside this summer.
