The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Tamrac ZipShot Tripod:
This is a great tripod for people who don't want to lugged around a heavy tripod all over creation. Basically, its very light weight, fits into your basic day-pack and it got a ballhead but you have to buy the quick released stuff separately. It can support a weight up an ultra zoom camera like Panasonic FZ150 or Canon SX40. For point and shoot camera, it perfect. But I have seen a small DSLR on it as well. But I will avoid the long zoom lens if you are using a small DSLR. Ten pounds I think is the max limit. The tripod sets up within seconds and packed up just as easily. Thanks to the ballhead, you can adjust the camera so it will be level even if the tripod is crooked. The tripod is 44 inch tall so its pretty functional. But height is not adjustable.
The tripod can be use for most functions that a regular tripod can do. Heavy camera add to the stability. However, it is bit flimsy and I will not trust it to be stable in a windy condition. So there are limitation to this tripod. I used it a lot for self timer shots. It sure beat finding a flat rock! I also won't use it as a video tripod unless you have no intention of moving the camera. It is not stable enough unless you got a light touch.

Comments about Tamrac ZipShot Tripod:
We purchased this tripod days before heading out on a hike, during which we got married. We wanted something that was light weight and fit in a small backpack - this fit the bill perfectly. It was a snap to set-up and break down, which we did multiple times during our hikes, and we captured great photos to share with our friends and family when we got home and announced we'd eloped!
