      I have tried on pretty much every hiking pant that REI carries in the store, and several online. The ONLY pants that fit me correctly are the REI Escalante (discontinued) and the Northface Tempest (being discontinued). All others are WAY too big in the waist, even if they fit me the rest of the way. I wear a 6 regular in both. I was thrilled to find these blue ones, although the color is a bit bold for wearing on multi day trips with limited clothing, I still like it. The greyish ones look like they were grey then washed with reds. I am not keen on paying full price for a color that is really strange. The pants fit wonderfully. They take awhile to roll up but it is a nice feature. Most of the zip off pants/short styles are too short for me. I like my knees covered/protected. The buttonholes on the leg tabs are really snug, almost too snug, but I can fix that. Lots of nice pockets. I like the feel. I wear these for hiking, and plan on using them on my upcoming China trip doing laundry in the sink, so lightweight and comfortable is important. Would have given 5 stars if there were more color/size options and not closeout.
      I am very disappointed that once these are gone I will once again not have a style that fits me.
