The bicycle rides like a dream. After a long hiatus from cycling, I picked up the Cannondale and haven't regreted it for a second. It's incredibly light, responsive and rides really well. The gears change quickly and reliably, and the handling is as good as I could hope for.

I'm not a racer, but if you read the reviews of this bike you'll find it has a relaxed geometry that is designed for comfort; you lose some top speed in exchange for comfort on long rides. That trade off is perfect for me, but if you're planning on extensive racing maybe another bike would be a better fit.
