Previously owned only the super heavy cheap $100 bikes. Definitely worth the upgrade; everything felt like a major upgrade...EVERYTHING! Rides smooth, lightweight, quiet, and gears shift with fluidity. Will replace the stock seat with gel padded seat. Mainly used to start up a new fitnes routine via commuting to/from work as well as casual riding. Happy customer!

Love this bike! bought it 2 months ago because of a new bike trail the city of atlanta built behind my apartment. I use my quick 3 every time i get bored. This bike is very fast, comfortable, handles very well, and is exceptional on climbs. If your looking for a high quality bike at a reasonable price, get this one!

The bike itself is wonderful and has a solid match of comfort, performance, and price. If I were writing the review based solely on the bike, it would be a solid 5 for the listed price.

Service and delivery comments:

The reason I am giving the bike a 3 star rating is because of REI, not the bike itself. I have been a loyal REI member for years and have had nothing but positive experiences dealing with this company, until today.

My wife and I decided to get each other bikes for Christmas and, being members, REI was naturally the first place to look. We narrowed in on this model and were prepared to purchase them both, at the listed price, but got sidetracked by other holiday events and decided that we would purchase the bikes in the new year. Her bike was easy, in stock and ready to go. My bike on the other hand was no longer in stock at REI and the white/red is no longer made by cannondale. Fine, color doesn't matter to me much.

What does matter to me is that since REI no longer has the XL frame size in stock, I have to pay $73.99 shipping ($13.99 standard plus $60.00 oversized) for a special order of an item that was on the shelf only 2 weeks earlier. It is true that items run out sometimes and companies won't restock until the next model year comes out, ok. The new model year doesn't come out until the end of summer! (according to the manager) So they essentially have no XL frames for 7 month out of the year. I'm 6'2" tall, not 7'10", I wouldn't consider myself a rare size and I think that passing off their restocking fees onto me because they didn't account for 7 months of sales in a fairly normal size is completely ridiculous.

The only thing that kept me from walking out the door is the rebate. I'm very disappointed in what I have considered up until now to be one of my favorite stores.

I use my Quick SL 3 multiple days each week for a mix of intense exercise (hill climbs and sprints), endurance training (quick-ish 10 to 20 mile rides), and casual riding. It's a significant improvement over the hybrid I used to use for same purposes.

Gearing, geometry, weight, and tires suit my uses perfectly. I'm quite satisfied with the OEM saddle, pedals, and hand grips. Shifters and brakes have worked flawlessly.

Delivery was on exactly on schedule. Bike set-up was spot-on.
