Comments about Cannondale Trail SL 29er 1 Bike - 2013:
I ride trails a lot. Typically 3-5 times a week and more when I commute. This bike is a great all-around trail bike. It climbs well, handles well, feels responsive and decends like a 29er should - fast!
The Trail SL 1 needs nothing. Buy it. Ride it. Clean it. Repeat steps 2 and 3. If you're a beginner, this is the bike to get serious with. You'll become a better rider, faster. It's got great components and is suprisingly light compared to my old Cannondale Trail SL4.
I expected to hate the saddle as I have with every other bike I ever owned. (I prefer WTB saddles.) But for some reason, the included Cannondale saddle works for me on this bike.
The fork is an entry level shock but a decent enough kit.
I just went through the exercise of test-riding over a dozen full suspension bikes and almost bought one before buying this. You will not be dissapointed. You can spend more but you won't get more bike for the money.
