Rated4out of5byrepercussionsfromSo dry and not so sweaty! This jacket fits like a dream! I never imagined that I could feel so fashionable in a raincoat! I can get this jacket to pack down fairly small into my bike bag too! It doesn't get much better than this. I get a little sweaty in this jacket, but the pocket zips act as some extra ventilation when I need it.

Rated5out of5byBHfromFantastic lightweight, and waterproofBought this jacket before a trip to the UK and a week of hiking in Ireland. Super wet, and this jacket got me through it! I love the lightweight feel, and how soft it is while still being totally waterproof. Pretty breathable too, much better than most of the cheaper, stiffer rain coats I've had previously. The purple and orange are great for visibility, and it folds up to a very small size (no built in pouch, but you could stuff it inside one of the pockets if needed).

Rated4out of5bytuesdaynextfromGood for hiking in wind and rainI bought this jacket on sale at REI a few weeks ago and have already had a chance to use it in the sprinkling rain, pouring rain, and heavy winds (~60mph). I am very happy with its performance. I wore it during a storm on top of Wheeler Peak in Nevada (13,000ft), with high winds, driving rain, and hail. The jacket kept me dry and warm but not overly sweaty. A few weeks later I was in the Eastern Sierra and got caught in several serious thunderstorms at night and the jacket did very well in keeping out the rain. The hood pulls very tight around my face, unlike most other models I tried. I do also like the elastic around the wrists; most other jackets had velcro and wouldn't actually cinch tight enough around my small wrists. I am a little disappointed with the front zipper, which seems to catch on the fabric sometimes. Also, the sizing seems a bit strange. I usually wear a medium and I bought the medium - it works well in the chest, but is a little tight in the hips. I can still wear several layers underneath, though, such as a tshirt, long-sleeved shirt, and fleece, but using the pockets is a little difficult with all of those layers.

Rated4out of5byLoveHikingSolofromnice rain shell with shallow hoodI really like how stretchable and soft the fabric is. The stretch-ability of the garment makes it very comfortable to wear in a outdoor setting. The only thing I don't like, and this might be just me, is that the hood doesn't seem to be deep enough and doesn't stay in place. For some reason the cut makes the hood keep pulling back even when I fully zip up. Given this is a rain shell, for me this is the deal breaker. I returned the jacket without field test.

Rated5out of5byhahikerfromGreat jacket, I want to buy another!I love this jacket! I bought it during the summer clearance, so I haven't worn it in the rain yet but I've run it under the faucet and the waterproofing seems great (so far). Mostly I love how lightweight it is. It is just one layer, super stretchy and comfortable, and not too warm for walking around (hiking, etc.). Plus it is great for hiking/backpacking because it packs really small. I'm not crazy about the orange stripes on the side, but even with that design I still LOVE this jacket. I want to buy another just in case I ever lose my first one!
It does run a little small. I usually wear a medium in women's tops, but I got a large. It fits perfectly. There's room underneath for a fleece or other layers, but it's not too lose.

My only complaint is the hood. Even with my hair down, the tip of the hood does not cover the front of hair/face well. The fabric is there but is not structured properly. Despite this, I love the jacket but will need to take additional precautions when backpacking.
