Comments about REI Fleet Knee Shorts - Women's:

These shorts have a very flattering fit. The length hits right at the knee, but doesn't interfere with you leg movement or bind at all. I've worn them for hiking and trail running and they are really comfortable. Today I got pretty sweaty (it was 80 degrees) but they dried out immediately and never had that damp feeling that some lycra shorts can get. The fabric is fairly lightweight but feels durable. I've also brushed against rough rocks while scrambling but the fabric did not snag at all. The rear pocket is small but can hold a set of car keys. They have a drawstring but I don't think it's necessary- the wide waistband is fairly snug (though comfy). For reference, I'm 5'5", hips 35.5", and I got the small. I could also wear the xs but I wanted a roomier fit- it depends on how much compression you want. Great price for such a nice pair of shorts (knee pants?)!
