I love these shorts. I think they are the perfect length-not too short or long. Right now I need to lose about 20 pounds, and that makes finding a great fit even harder. I weigh about 160 and got the medium. I'm 5"4. Although I do like the new flat waistband that a lot of new shorts now seem to have, until I lose the extra pounds they give me a muffin top. I think these have a flattering fit and even when I lose the pounds I will buy another pair. They forgiving but not baggy. I'm buying another pair, maybe two more. I will live in these this summer.

I have been looking for a running short like this for a long time. A couple of the reasons that I like them is that they are not too short and the little split on the side is also minimal so I don't feel like it is flapping open when I run like most of my running shorts. So if you are like me and your lily white upper thighs are maybe not your favorite thing to show off then you will probably like them too.

I am 5'3" and 105 lbs and I bought an extra small. They could maybe be a tiny bit smaller. I also wish that REI sold more colors of this short because I would definitely buy another pair.
