These are the most comfortable hiking pants I have ever worn. The ability to convert them to capris or shorts is awesome, and they travel so well. And they are actually attractive! I must have tried on 6 different brands but by far and away the REI tall pant was superior.

I have been searching for a pair of quick-dry active-wear pants in tall sizing that fit well and look feminine for a long time - THIS IS IT! I bought a size 4 Tall, and the 35inch inseam is perfect for me at 5'11''. I am thrilled that REI has introduced this style which allows for a truly long inseam even on the small sizes.

I thought I would wear these just for hiking, but they are so comfortable and cute I've been wearing them for walking with friends, hanging out, and doing other exercise as well. The flexible material allows for free movement; I have not experienced any binding or discomfort.

I was initially dubious of the double zip-off feature, but the zippers are so light-weight and flexible that I don't notice them at all while I'm wearing them. The zippers are color coded for ease of re-attaching the pieces.

I have not yet washed the pants so I don't know how the fabric responds.
