Comments about Gaiam Sol Masters Yoga Mat:
The thickness here is exactly what I was looking for. Wrists, elbows, knees, butt, lower back etc, get their weight nicely distributed and relieve pressure points. I don't mind the extra weight since it helps keep the mat planted no matter how quick I'm moving. I like the color, and it rolls up easily and stays rolled. I feel like the extra thickness is giving me a little extra balance work from the compression, but it may just be mental... Nice mat overall!

Comments about Gaiam Sol Masters Yoga Mat:
This is a well-made mat, quite heavy and nicely cushioned. It makes me want to do more yoga, and I'm sure I'll have it for years to come. A few minor issues: shows minor abrasions (or maybe wipeable scuffs is all they are?) in spots, even though I've only used it a half-dozen times, and the very top still won't lay flat after having it a few weeks. Also, the rubber smells takes a while to wear off, but at least it's safe, natural rubber, not PVC like my old mat. That's a huge plus.

Comments about Gaiam Sol Masters Yoga Mat:
The grippyness makes Chaturanga easier. The extra thick cushion is especially kind to my poor knees.
