Comments about NiteRider Pro 1800 LED Race Bike Light:

Noticed the battery status light didn't illuminate while charging. This was in early winter when I halted my early morning rides (4 am). When I started back this spring, I plugged the battery back into the charger and noticed the status light still wasn't illuminated. I left on charger for a day then tried the light and nothing. Battery totally dead. Went to Niterider's web site and saw where battery is only warranted for 180 days. Obviously, they know the battery is an issue or else they would warrant for a longer period. Thankfully, I purchased at REI so I know they will stand behind the product regardless of the manufacturer's warranty. I also have a Niterider 250 and 650 that work great. With night riding in Atlanta, it pays to have a back up plan.
Very expensive light for questionable battery life. I would recommend folks purchase two of the 650 lights for less money, lighter weight and redundancy.
