This powerful NiteRider Lumina 650 bike light packs a lighting wallop into a compact, handlebar- or helmet-mounting design that's free of cords for excellent convenience.
- Self-contained design eliminates external battery packs and finicky cords—everything is right there for quick, easy, no-fuss lighting
- Together with highly efficient reflectors, the ultrabright LED delivers a nice, even light pattern void of rings or halos
- 4 continuous light levels include high, medium, low, and the battery-conserving "walk" mode; run times range from 1.5 hrs. on high to 18 hrs. on "walk"
- Light output for each level includes 650 lumens on high, 400 lumens on medium, 200 lumens on low and 40 lumens on "walk"
- Also offers a flashing mode for alerting others of your presence; 12 hrs. run time on flashing
- Internal lithium ion battery can be charged from a USB port of your computer, making charging at the office a snap; 6.5 hrs. maximum charge time
- Incorporated quick-release handlebar mount fits handlebar diameters up to 31.8mm; light can be easily disconnected from mount
- The NiteRider Lumina 650 cordless bike light includes USB charging cord and a helmet mount for added versatility

I ride to and from work on a dark trail without lighting. This light is very bright. I disagree that the light has a short charge life. Be sure you lock it after you take it off of your bike as it does turn on with some bumping around in a bag. I have the 650 model and it is all i need to get where i am going in the dark.

Purchased last year , I began biking to work after hurracaine Sandy; it worked perfectly for night comute. Now the day is longer and it works amazing as daylight flash light during rush hour . Pedestrians often become aware that bike is close!!!

Has enough light to see and be seen but the batteries are too small and run down very quickly. I am also amazed at the insane price for the power of this light. I could see paying this kind of price for 70Lux-100Lux with dynamo connection and external battery pack. There are several other major manufacturers selling the same powered light for $15-$30.

Just started using it, but no problems so far. The helmet mount was real easy to strap in to my bern helmet and the light is stable on the mount as I swing my head back and forth. Light output is fantastic, and I like the lock out feature that prevents the light from coming on while it is in your bag.

I use this for my early morning training rides. I start before sunrise. I use one handlebar mounted and one helmet mounted. The only problem is talking to my friends while riding. They hate it when I look them in the eye. It blinds them. I bought more for my wife and kids. Never can have too much light.

Previously my ride start times where dictated by sunrise, now I bring my own daylight with me. I am a triathlete and use aero bars. You can attach the helmet mount between your aero bars or turn the bike mount 90 degrees and mount it to your aero bars. Not only a great light but first I have found that works on the tri-bike.

REI Associate asked do you want to see or be seen. I want to see and this light defiantly does the job. Can't believe how bright it is for as small as it is. It slides off really easy so that you don't have to worry about it being stolen when locking up your bike.

When I almost hit a neighbor walking in the street due to low lights on my bike and living in the enchanted forest, I went for broke - and LOVE it. I can see anything AND be seen. I coupled it with Light & Motion Vis 360 Front and Rear Helmet Bike Light System and feel much safer... so do my neighbors!

This is a great light! I was worried about the rechargable factor but it works great and lasts long between charges. It has three brightness levels and a flashing feather that is great for just before dusk.
