Comments about NiteRider Lumina 500 Bike Light:
The flash mode is VERY noticeable, even in midday sunlight. I've seen a dramatic improvement with cross traffic actually stopping to wait. The flash mode is steady and fast on the NiteRider: Some other brands flash 3 times then pause, and I think the pause is so long that a driver might not see you during a quick glance. NiteRider also makes 350 and 650 lumen models, but I think the 500 is the most light/dollar. Plus, the small USB power adapter for my iPhone recharges it just fine. The only issue I have is a loose fit where the light connects to the clamp; it buzzes and rattles. (Maybe mine is defective?) Overall I love this light!

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 500 Bike Light:
I bought this light for visibility when it starts getting dark earlier in the fall. I love the solid construction, bright light and the fact it is rechargeable. The only issue I have had with my light is that it interferes with the signal reception on my wireless "cateye" cycle computer. When I turn on the light, the cateye no longer receives a signal and the screen just zeros out. I no longer have the ability to see my speed or cadence. The trip meter is also no longer measuring the distance travelled. Otherwise, the light really is a very quality product.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 500 Bike Light:
I've used and ultimately rejected multiple front bike lights. Finally, this light actually lights up the road. Even riding downhill I don't feel like I'm overdriving the beam. The blinkie mode is *very* bright. I use it in early light when I want to be seen. USB recharging is easy during a workday. Although the included cable is very short, it's also a ubiquitous micro-USB cable.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 500 Bike Light:
I ride at 4:20 AM and needed a good light to see wild life, pedestrians, who dont use lights or wear reflective devices, and the trail.
This light does a great job of lighting up the trail. On 500 it goes 90 minutes. It has 3 settings low, medium and high. The lowest setting is Ok but makes it harder to see out further than 20 feet with any clairity.
On high, 500 lumens, it is very nice but time limited for longer night rides. I think I might upgrade to the new 650 but I must say if you dont want to fork out the additional 30 dollars for the 650, you will be very happy with this light.
It is solid and the bracket holds true. Over all I am very pleased with this light. It does take 3-5 hours for a recharge but I charge it after my ride or before i go to bed so it is ready in the AM when I ride, so this is not a huge issue.
