Comments about NiteRider Lumina 350 Bike Light:
Used the light on my mtn bike on a dusk ride. Just as dark really settled in, the light died and after only 20 minutes of use. The light had been charging for 3 weeks, which the instructions says is OK. I am tempted to return the light.
After two subsequent charges, the light has lasted 2 hours on HIGH and it is stated in the instructions.
I will try the light again on the trail, but it has two strikes against it already in my opinion.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 350 Bike Light:
I discovered that the Lumina 350 interferes with my Cateye Strada wireless bike computer on all settings except high. Basically the light blocks the signal and the computer stops receiving input from the wheel sensor. I first noticed the interference when the light went into low battery mode one night. Initially I thought there was something wrong with the computer, but it worked normally when the light was turned off. After charging the light back up I found that there is interference on all light settings except high. I use this light for commuting and run on high pretty much all of the time, so it's not a deal breaker for me.
I have not tried other lights to see if this is specific to the Lumina 350 or more of a general issue with the Cateye Strada.
I haven't had any charging or unusually fast draining problems. I do get less than 2 hours per charge, but that's on high. I have wall and car chargers that accept USB cords, so I have plenty of charging options.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 350 Bike Light:
I bought a 350 and a 650 Lumina for night riding at my local park. 650 was helmet mounted and the 350 is on the handlebars.
On the first use the 350 just shut off after about 30 minutes, no low battery indicator, no warning at all. It just turned off and would not turn back on. I know it was not the battery because when I returned home I plugged the 350 back into the usb charger cord for a second then unplugged and the light was able to be turned back on instantly. I left it on the table on the same setting (medium) and it stayed on for nearly 3 hours before the battery finally drained.
On the next ride I had the same issue, after about 30 minutes shut off again with no warning. I took it back and exchanged it for another 350 thinking it was just a fluke, but the replacement I got does the exact same thing after 20 minutes. I returned it for a different brand and have no more issues.
I think it has to do with being mounted on the bars, maybe vibration or something as the 650 works perfectly on my helmet. I really like the lights and they have great visibility but there are definitely some problems with them.

This was a great investment. I have no car so my bicycle gets a lot of use. This bike light lasts for days on a charge and is bright enough for urban use.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 350 Bike Light:
This bright, portable light provides ample lighting for the typical commuter. I use it several times a week riding in the snow along streets and multi-use trails. I can see reasonablly well, about twenty yards, down the road with no additional lighting. I feel confident that drivers and other riders can see the light from my bike or helmet. I would not use it on dirt tracks or unimproved trails since I would want to see further down the trail if conditions were rough and unpredictable. I encourage you to use this light, wear additional reflective clothing, and attach a seperate rear light to ensure your safety and visibility. Remember to follow all the rules of the road, ride defensively, and assume that others cannot see you then this light will have best chance of helping you stay safe.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 350 Bike Light:
I bought this light for commuting, especially as my commute runs along an unlit bike path and roads for half of the 6 miles. I am so extremely disappointed. While the light is great and adequate for my needs, the battery is sorely disappointing. Firstly, this bike light only charges by being plugged into the USB port of a computer. There's no ability to interchange charged batteries or plug into the wall-- it has to be into the USB. Someone suggested plugging it in at work, but that's not an option at my work place. I was turning on my computer at home each night specifically to charge my bike light. And even then the charge doesn't last. The paperwork says 1.5 hours on the high beam, 6 on the low. My light is going dead after 20-30 minutes of riding on high beam and 1.5 hours on the low beam. And it goes dead without warning. The paperwork says the top light will turn red when the battery is dying, but it doesn't. Suddenly, the light is dead, and I'm stranded in the dark 5 miles from home. It's happened three times in 2 weeks, despite more and more diligent charging and light conservation on low beam. I'm done. Maybe I've got a dud, but after standing in 35 degree temperatures on a street corner for 30 minutes tonight until my husband could come pick me up with the car, I give up. This is going back to the store tomorrow, and I'll sadly be riding the bus to work until I find a replacement that actually lasts for more than two 30 minute commutes.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 350 Bike Light:
Only used this on commutes for a few weeks now. I feel comfortable with the light it creates @ 25mph, I can easily avoid potholes and such. I would probably want more light if I had to go faster on uncertain surfaces. The beam is, as they advertise, free of rings and shadows. It is nicely focused in the center for seeing farther down the road and gently tapers off on the sides. When I first got, I thought I would primarily use it on low but light is one of those things you can easily get greedy with. Part of me wishes I would've got the 500 and then, if you go there, why not get the 650? Slippery slope. I wish there was a helmet mount, or at least the option to buy one (only comes w/ the 650) separate but it does come off the bike quick & easy for commuting. Good construction, led in button changes color for low battery, usb recharge is nice. Overall very happy with the light.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 350 Bike Light:
Great light, well designed, easy to use. It was important to me to have a headlight that wasn't wimpy but, oncoming, looks as big and bright as a single car headlight. I love the "green" aspect too, that I can plug it into my computer for recharging. A bit spendy for me, but worth it!
