Comments about REI Endeavor Hiking Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
This line of pant has been ruined with this years "reworking" of the design. I've purchased these pants for the last 3 or so generations, and I've loved them all. However this year, they are completely ruined. Whose bright idea was it to remove the belt loops and replace them with an internal plastic belt? Why destroy a good thing. When I camp, I like to choose my own belt and need the utility. When I hike I use the belt loops to carry water. When I'm around town, sometimes I like no belt. I am so very very disappointed. I won't be purchasing this years outdoor pant at REI it seems.

I have used these pants for snowshoeing, a day hike trip and multiple rock climbing trips. They are incredibly comfortable. Very durable material with a good deal of stretch for great mobility. They resist water and wind well, are very breathable. These are my go to pants for any excursion I am contemplating.

Comments about REI Endeavor Hiking Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
These have become my new favorite outdoor pants!
They have the perfect amount of stretch for almost any activity (maybe not yoga ;)
The wind resistance is surprisingly good for the fabric being relatively thin and yet they breathe very well assuming it's not too hot out. The only times I've found them a little warm is when being in a space without much air movement like sitting in a tent.
I have used them for climbing in Yosemite in the summer for sun protection as well as cross country skiing in northern Washington state and have been comfortable in those extremes and everything in between.
They're definitely an active pant so you won't be getting any warmth from them just sitting around in camp.
Water resistance is very good for things like occasionally falling down in the snow or brushing up against wet foliage but they'll get soaked pretty quick if it's raining (but they'll dry quick when it stops).
So far they've handled my frequent use without much sign of wear but I don't think I'd use them for bush whacking or anything.
The fit is a bit snugger than your typical nylon hiking pant, which I like and prefer. There is still enough room to put a thin base layer underneath if necessary and I can put them over a cross country ski boot just fine.

Comments about REI Endeavor Hiking Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
Wore a pair for 4 days backpacking in the Grand Canyon and for 9 days backpacking in Patagonia. Easy to clean and quick to dry. Very comfortable and no issues with restricted movement.
Only issue was the fraying at the cuffs because they would rub against each other while walking.
