I love my thermos. I have been waiting a few years to get one after a fellow tea-drinking friend of mine got one. It stays hot for so long! When I camp out I love being able to fill it up with hot water at night and be able to drink something hot first thing in the morning. The best way to keep it hot is to have it full, if I just it a third full it will loose temp much easier, but still stays warm for a long time. I like how it has the cup to drink from -- I have had coffee mugs that insulate well, but you have to fill it with the temperature you want to drink, or else you will burn your mouth. One of my favorite parts of this thermos is how I can put loose tea leaves in with the water and the lid will strain out most of the herb/tea (as long as the pieces of tea are big enough). I feel like the plastic parts are very high quality, they have no taste and seem extremely long lasting. It is hard to imagine this plastic releasing any unwanted chemicals into my drink.

I have heard that the bigger sizes will insulate for even longer. woah! I think I will get a larger one someday as I drink a LOT of tea and I refill this one often.

I did a simple test. In the morning, I filled it with hot (scalding but not boiling) tap water, let sit 5 minutes to preheat it. Poured water out, refilled with hot tap water, and closed it up. Let it sit all day, 12 hours. Got home, the outside of the container was cool. I opened it, and the liquid inside was now hot. Not luke warm, not scalding, just hot - I could pour it over my hand, but much hotter than that would have been uncomfortable.

Works as advertised, very durable container. Way too heavy for backpacking, but great for emergency supplies (not having to boil water multiple times a day would be useful), picnics, car camping, taking hot beverages with you, etc.

I use this product to bring coffee to work. I bring fresh coffee (hot from the pot) to work every day at 6:30AM. I do not even bother heating up the thermos prior to putting the coffee in. By the time I have my first cup, around 10AM it is still extremely hot-too hot to drink! By 2:30, when I have my second cup, it is still very hot. If you don't open up the thermos at all, it will easily keep the coffee extremely hot 12+ hours. Good product. It is expensive and there are cheaper products on the market that will function the same way. I would recommend.
