Comments about REI Revelcloud Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
I take this jacket with me everywhere I go. It packs inside itself and stops the wind and keeps me warm. Not sure about how it will do in wet weather, got it after winter in SoCal

I am outside everyday year-round. In winter it is too light by itself

Comments about REI Revelcloud Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
I bought this jacket because a friend of mine recommended it. I was between the Patagonia Nano Puff jacket and this one. What really sold me on this jacket is it's price, it has a hood, and I LOVE that it has a zipper pocket built in so I can pack it inside of itself. I'm sure there are warmer jackets out there, but I live in Southern California and it's perfect for the cold nights/mornings we get, but isn't too warm to only break it out when it's below 40. I really like the breast pocket on the jacket as well.

Comments about REI Revelcloud Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
I just bought this on sale at REI. I did a scout overnight in 5 degree weather with winds and was warm all day and night. I had a cotton tee shirt and a light fleece underneath. I was planning on changing to a warmer coat as it got colder, but never needed to do so. Feels light and comfortable by itself but can layer up to add warmth in cold conditions. Cuts wind, not sure about rain. Love it, and my wife tried mine on and now she wants to get one as well.

Comments about REI Revelcloud Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
I use this jacket for hiking and camping in the Nevada and for normal everyday use. It has kept me warm even when the temperatures drop. When it gets real cold teens or less it fits nicely under thicker jackets. It is so light and thin that it works great for layering or everyday use.

Comments about REI Revelcloud Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
Typical of REI, this jacket offers incredibly good value for money. Layered over long undies and a wool sweater, this is as warm as my down parka. Finally, I REALLY appreciate REI's discreet labelling. Wearing clothes by other manufacturers, I really feel like a pretentious git because of the prominent badges. REI has become my default retailer for clothing and equipment. 'Yes, I would recommend this to a friend'...with gusto.

Comments about REI Revelcloud Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
This jacket is excellent. It is very light and comfortable, while providing ample amounts of warmth. I used this jacket on a recent hike to the top of Texas, Guadalupe Peak and it preformed flawlessly in temperatures from 30 to 60F.
Breathability is not perfect, but not enough of a problem to list as a true drawback.

Comments about REI Revelcloud Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
I am 6'3" tall with long arms and this jacket fits well. The sleeves on the XL are the appropriate length for me, but may be too long for others. The zippers work better than most other jackets and fleeces I've worn. It is surprisingly warm for the weight and very easy to move in. The jacket is intended for "cool" (not cold) weather - I wouldn't recommend it for anything below about 35 degrees F.

perfect jacket. doesn't get much better in my opinion but some seams are starting to fray but overall very happy.
I have ridden it on my motorcycle up to 50 mph and it really was windproof.

Comments about REI Revelcloud Hoodie Jacket - Men's:
I started using the Revelcloud jacket the day I got it. But my first chance to really test it out was on a trip to Las Vegas.
The jacket is very light and it almost gives you the feeling that it can't possibly keep you warm. But it can actually keep you pretty toasty. This trip to Vegas was during Winter and it was colder than usual and it also rained. I had to walk along the strip about a mile and a half from one hotel to another to meet up with some friends to catch a show. By the time I got to the other hotel, I was sweating a lot and the inside of the jacket was sticking to my sweaty arms. (I was only wearing a t-shirt underneath.)
I took off the jacket to cool down and noticed that the inside of the jacket was wet from my sweaty arms. The outside was completely dry because it did a great job of repelling water from a drizzle to a light rain. I turned the jacket inside out to let it dry out. In less than 5 minutes, the inside of the jacket was completely dry too.
After I cooled down, I put the jacket back on without feeling too warm or too cold. I'm looking forward to using it on a hike during a cold day. But I predict that it will do a great job of keeping me warm.
I've used it most days already this Winter here in California (which I know is nothing compared to many of you that live in really cold places ;)...especially if it looks like it's going to rain. It's not too bulky, but it still keeps you warm. I also have fleece jackets that keep me warm, but they can be bulky at times and get heavier when they get wet...such as when it rains.
Plus, it really looks cool and stylish. One of my friends commented on the nice looking color scheme of the black and grey, with the lime green accents of the zippers.
Great jacket for casual use in places with average temperatures ranging from 40F to 75F.
