        Comments about Sugoi Firewall 220 Zip Jacket - Men's - 2011 Closeout:

Just as with the Firewall 260 which i also boght, the thing was brand new and the stitches started braking. The thread used is very thin, cleary not strong at all. No wonder given that Sugoi has a paltry 30 day guarantee on their products, vs. Pearl Izumi, Marmot and others that have lifetime guarantees. Also, for a rather thick, somewhat heavy cold weather jacket, it fits a little too snugly - and i'm slender - not giving much room for layers underneath.

I wear it around town in L.A. when it's a bit cold or when I'm hiking. I like the look and feel of the jacket.

          Comments about Sugoi Firewall 220 Zip Jacket - Men's - 2011 Closeout:

It's "pro fit" which means it didn't work for me with my belly, was too tight, but if you have flat abs its a nice jacket. Its very snug and form fitting for maximum aerodynamics in the cool weather but no room to grow.

          Comments about Sugoi Firewall 220 Zip Jacket - Men's - 2011 Closeout:

This jacket is amazing. I use this to run in anchorage winters on the multipurpose trails. I run this jacket in anything colder than about 30 deg. It really regulates the moisture and heat well. It dries as I'm running. I have tried to use this jacket with other base layers and have settled on the med zero top from sugoi both are made from what feels like the same kind of stretchey fast drying stuff.
I'm a little bummed that it doesn't have a chest pocket for music.
There is on the inside a place where the pockets are sewn into the back of the jacket that will hold it but then I can't pull out my iPod easily on the run to change the music.
Not a big deal I will just make better playlist.

          Comments about Sugoi Firewall 220 Zip Jacket - Men's - 2011 Closeout:

I use this as an outer layer for urban bike-commuting, and it works great for cold weather. Blocks the wind and light drizzles well, and has longer sleeves and tail to keep you covered while hunched over on the bike.

It does fit pretty snugly, though--very athletic cut, which works well for me (5'8", 150lbs)--but might not be great if you need more freedom of movement. For example, I wouldn't try to run or hike in this--it's too tight. But you can still easily put an extra thermal layer, like a down vest or light fleece, under it if you need extra insulation. On most days (down to 40ish degrees), I just go with a baselayer and this, and I'm fine.
