Comments about Nite Ize Moonlit LED Area Light:
As a light it's fine --small, lightweight and bright. But the switch is really stiff! I have to press really hard with both hands to turn the thing on and off. It's just not convenient when you need a light to have to try multiple times just to turn it on.

Comments about Nite Ize Moonlit LED Area Light:
I purchased this as a backup bike headlight. Threaded the flexible tie through my bike helmet, with the light front and center. It's pretty bright, makes me more visible from further away, and has pretty good battery life. I mostly use it in blink mode, but once or twice have used it in steady mode when I had to do quick on-the-road repairs. Have gotten compliments from runners and walkers on our many multi-use city trails on how it makes me visible without blinding them.
It's not a substitute for a head-mounted flashlight, even where I've placed it, because the light is much more diffuse. But it is strong - visible reflecting off stop signs from half a block away. Could definitely work on its own as a small area light.
