Comments about Tifosi Dolomite Polarized Sunglasses - 2012 Closeout:
I bought these for mountain biking, expecting the photochromic lenses to be versatile enough for shady forests or bright sun. The "clearest" shade of these lenses is a yellow-amber tint, which provides OK vision in the woods, but not a great option for riding after sunset. Speed of transition from light to dark and light again is several minutes, not as quick as modern optical material, but reasonable considering the price.
The design is very effective. Temples are nicely cushioned, and vents on the periphery of the lenses are great - on a hot, sweaty ride, the glasses stayed comfortable and free of condensation.
Overall, happy with the glasses, will continue to use them, but will look for other eye protection for late-day or bad-weather rides.
