    I ski and backpack. I was looking for a pole that could take a little more abuse than the very lightweight trekking poles when backpacking, that I could also use in backcountry, skiing. This is it! The reason they got just 3 stars is that they weight 20oz instead of the stated 16oz. Even with the baskets removed they still come in at 18oz.
