Comments about The North Face Apex Casey Skort - 2012 Closeout:

I bought this skort for a month-long vacation in South America, and I enjoyed having it as a way to add a feminine touch to my wardrobe while still being active. The outer material is stretchy and allows freedom of movement. It also seems pretty durable; I didn't hesitate to sit on any variety of surfaces. I washed it in sinks in the hotels where I stayed, and it usually would air-dry in a day.

Two things I've disliked about it:

1. It fits poorly in the same way I've mentioned in a review of some North Face hiking pants. I'm 5'3" and 110 pounds, with a toned/athletic build, and I bought a size 2. In order to get a good fit in the hips and butt, I had to accept an overly large waistband that sags out. It's not entirely attractive under tighter-fitting tops.

2. This is minor, but the ends of the drawstring are pointy and hard. Sitting right at my waist when I tie the drawstring to try to get a tighter fit at my midline, they are extremely uncomfortable.

With some small improvements, this skort would be a fabulous product. As is, I'd recommend it with reservations.
