I found this while hunting for a waterproof breathable rainjacket for my 3 year old. We have to hike a 1/2 mile roundtrip every day in all kinds of weather to pick up her brother at the bus drop. I really wanted to invest in rainwear that could graciously handle cold weather (layered over fleece), but still had a wicking liner for warmer days. The cut is so versatile that ordering one size up worked graciously; there are no gaps (for leaks or drafts) yet she has plenty of growing room for a second year's use (so excellent value!). I only gave it a 4 instead of 5 stars because the hood isn't stowable. However, it's definitely waterproof - this jacket has kept her completely dry a few of our infamous Pacific Northwest downpours!
