I wear wool socks for everyday use throughout the cold months, as well as hiking, skiing, and backpacking. I love that I can pull these up to cover my lower leg, providing additional warmth under my jeans or pants. However, these socks wore out very quickly. I purchased a couple pairs and threw them into my daily rotation of REI brand wool socks, but found that after only 2 months the heels on each sock had worn out completely. I'm really disappointed, because I feel the style and cut is superior to what I find in the REI brand selection, but won't be buying them again.
