Comments about Tubbs Xplore 21 Snowshoes Starter Kit - Women's - 2011 Closeout:

I was excited to get this kit for my wife, since it was reasonably priced, and I figured it would serve her well. She doesn't always head out with me, but I thought the kit would be an affordable option for the times she did join me.

The poles and gaiters were just fine for the price. The snowshoes were uncomfortable to the point that she wore mine, and I tried the Tubbs for a while. The toe straps continuously caught the webbing, and I think one of them would eventually fatigue and break. I found the crampons at the balls of my feet to be uncomfortable as well. Both of us experienced these issues, so the difference in foot size wasn't the issue.
