    • Ski/hike switch frees upper cuff to work with your stride and makes it easy to hike for your turns
    • A steel and aluminum, metal-pin-to-metal plate connection locks the upper cuff to the lower shell when you're ready to ski and allows you to really flex into your skis
    • Lightweight, mono-injected polymer shell is designed to make it easy going uphill, and it provides the responsive power you need on the way back down
    • Soft plastic over instep makes it easy to get your feet in the boots
    • Liners offer superior heel hold, complete foot envelopment and rubberized, shock-absorbent materials in feet
    • Custom-formable liners can be heated in a specialty ski shop to achieve a personalized fit
    • Neoprene toe boxes increase warmth in feet and absorb vibrations
    • Catches have a whopping 44mm range—22mm forward and 22mm back
    • Instep catch is hinged, allowing excellent pressure distribution; plus, it pivots away from the shell, letting the shell spread for easy entry
    • 40mm rip-and-stick power strap provides effective cuff closure and efficient energy transmission as the skier works the boot forward
    • Cuff alignment matches the angle of the cuff with the shape of the lower leg, increasing comfort and performance
    • Very sticky arches and soles are designed for hiking in snow
    • Shock-absorbent heels smooth descents and soften landings
    • With a flex index of 90, Tecnica Cochise 90 ski boots provide the power transfer preferred by intermediate skiers

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Technica Cochise 90 Ski Boots I have always rented gear that was either too big, loose, stiff or flexible. The minute I put on the Cochise 90 they felt as though they were "my" boots. Wore them the first time and had to adjust the dominant foot considerably different than less dom. foot, but aside from that very comfortable, warm and nice combination of flex and rigidity. Can wear them all day, both riding and having an apres beer in the lodge and never have to loosen buckles. Solid boot for the novice...like me, but with room to grow skill/ preferance wise!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super happy with these boots! Returning back to skiing after boarding for 20 years. Wanted some decent boots that were comfortable but still performed well, and would allow me to ramp back into skiing easily. Very happy with the level of comfort and performance. My wife complains all day about her boots, and these are nearly as comfortable as my snowboard boots. My only issue with this boot is that I'm getting close to being on the tightest buckle settings. Maybe I have skinny feet/shins, but not ridiculously so. I'm good for now, but a little concerned I'm on the last buckle on 2 out of 3 buckles. Apart from that, all good - and I think good value for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy so Far Had taken many years off from skiing and it was suggested by friends to spend a bit more on boots instead of skis. I have a wider foot than normal and was drawn to the Tecnica boots because of other reviews I saw. They fit great and were very secure dispite having 3 buckles instead of 4. I ended up settling for the 3 buckle design because the boot felt so good and offered a great deal of support up and down. The strap at the top of the boot was very robust, just like all the other materials so I didn't figure it would be much of a problem. Took them out a week later to ski moguls in Colorado and was not disappointed. They had the perfect amount of flex for aggressive skiing and after the break in period, it felt like they were apart of my feet. But you'll have to give them a chance to form to your feet. Getting into and out of the boots can be a bit tough however. They provide a very nice strap to pull on and I don't care that much if I know that my shins aren't going to ache after 6 hours of skiing with no visits to the lodge. it got really cold the first day we skied and the boot kept my feet warm almost to the very end. I attribute part of that to how tired we all were. The temp was in the single digits and others in our group were feeling it more than I. The REI rep really knew her stuff and was a great help as well. I would buy these boots again in a heartbeat. I am so glad that I didn't buy from one of the big box sporting goods stores and I'm happy that I listen to those who told me to spend a bit more on boots. I got these on sale and feel I got the best of both worlds.
