These are called "boot height knee socks." Okay, look at the photo. It looks like they are over the knee. But you would have to have the thinnest thighs east or west of the Mississippi to wear them over your knee, and be 6 feet tall. I folded them down to the standard spot below the knee, and if you do it just right, you won't lose circulation permanently, but the rest of the sock will then be baggy. The fabric feels great and an over-the-knee would be great for the cold, but the 2nd pair is going right back.
