by fromGreat grip I have just seen that this page is for a newer model of this glove than I purchased. Mine are not Tech Compatible (more on this below), but are otherwise identical. I found these gloves on clearance in an REI store after looking for weeks for women's gloves with a decent grip. I am a petite female and suffer from extremely cold hands and fingers, making winter a painful time. As an outdoor photographer, bulky gloves are useless. So I have been trying to find gloves that are relatively slim, but warm, and with a grippy surface so that I can push buttons on my camera without taking the gloves off and freezing my hands. The women's gloves with tiny rubber grip dots on two or three finger tips offer little to no grip for this purpose. When I saw these boys' gloves with a full palm grip, I tried them on just for fun and they actually fit in an XL (I would wear a size XS or S in women's gloves). I have been using them for photography ever since. The best part about them is the grip which lets me do most things without taking them off. Unfortunately, the new version of this glove (Tech Compatible) removes the grip from the thumb and forefinger to allow for touchscreen manipulation, rendering it useless for the purposes of photography or other delicate tasks. It looks like I won't be able to get another pair. The other downside with the gloves I bought is that they are not as warm as I would like. I have to wear them with a superthin thermal silk liner underneath. There is just about enough room for this after they get worn in, but I lose some range of movement in my fingers. In a cold wind, my hands still get completely numb inside the gloves and liners. But then, I am trying not to expect severe weather gear from a pair of boys' everyday gloves. Lastly, I had to dock a star because these gloves are not very well stitched. I had to trim some loose thread around the wrist shortly after I bought them and I just hope they will hold together since I can't replace them and have no use for touchscreen compatible gloves. I'm certainly more careful than a young boy would be, so I doubt they would last long on the hands they were meant for.

by fromRUNS ABOUT 2 SIZES TOO SMALL!!! I have bought these gloves for my boys for last several years, they are a good glove for when it's not too cold. I measured their hands this year, and according to size chart, one was in medium, the other possibly a large. The gloves came today and they are too small. I pulled out the small size from last year, and last year's small is about the same but slighlty longer in fingers than this years medium. Needless to say, I just reordered in XL because the large was also too small. For reference, my boys are 8 and 9 years old, 8 year old average size and 9 year old small for his age. Both needed to go up to a size XL. Also for point of reference, according to chart my hand measures a L, but glove was too small on me, and my hand is slightly larger than both my boys. I rated 1 star down due to sizing running way too small.
