Versatile and tough, the Line Mr. Pollard's Opus skis are designed to create ear-to-ear grins in backcountry powder.

    • Designed by skier, artist and filmmaker Eric Pollard, the Mr. Pollard's Opus skis ride high in the pow and let you turn the backcountry into your own personal terrain park
    • Core consists of light and strong maple wood stringers surrounded by aspen wood to provide power, stability and long-lasting responsiveness
    • Symmetrical flex pattern in the tip and tail allows responsive riding forward or backward
    • Tip and tail rocker floats high in backcountry powder whether skiing forward or switch; relatively low rise planes through powder instead of plowing up and over
    • Geometry of skis incorporates 5 different turn radii to create effortless turn initiation with solid edge hold and responsive exits
    • Early Taper™ places the widest points of the tip and tail closer to the center of the ski, reducing tail drag and hooking in powder
    • You'll notice the grippy feel of these skis on hardpack thanks to the extended length of the edges
    • Thin core and sidewall in the tips reduce weight and make them easier to control
    • P-tex plastic sidewalls isolate vibrations, offering high-end damping characteristics
    • Steel edges seamlessly wrap around the entire tip, delivering superior carving and long-lasting performance
    • Increasing the thickness of a standard base and edge adds significant durability and impact resistance, and it lets you tune your skis many times throughout the season
    • High-quality sintered base retains wax and glides easily over snow
    • Base or topsheet color may vary from online photo
    • Requires bindings with wide brakes

      Comments about Line Mr. Pollard's Opus Skis - Men's - 2012/2013:

About me: 57 Years old, 5'6" 160lbs in good shape, ski around 50 days annually at Alta.
I bought the Opus' in 185cms as I already have a pair of the Line SFBs in 178cms, so I was really only looking to use these as dedicated powder skis (complicating matters further, the SFBs are terrific powder skis in their own right). Whereas I demoed the SFBs in both the 178 and 184 lengths (loved them both), I didn't have the opportunity to demo these - but my faith in Line was borne out a week after purchasing them when we lucked out with a great late season powder day, only my second day skiing on them. They proved to be as much fun in the powder as I expected, and although not as versatile away from the powder as the SFBs, they were still great fun to ski on the groomers, with surprisingly good edge hold for such a wide board. As with the SFB, the Opuses ski short for their length. Demoing would be the ideal approach as always.
For a shorter, lighter rider such as myself, at this length these are skis that encourage longer turns and reward higher speeds in powder with much great floatation.

Great in powder and chop. Heavy, but agile and skis lighter than it is.
