Comments about adidas Terrex Solo Shoes - Men's - 2011 Closeout:
I wasn't quite sure what to expect from these shoes as I normally enjoy trail shoes in my everyday work life, both in style and function. These are definitely stiffer in the sole than an average trail shoe, but they offer great arch support, traction, and are a decent compromise between a climbing shoe and a hiking lo-top. They fit your feet snugly, yet are still comfortable and I wear them for at least 9 hours a day, 5 days a week. The soles are stiff at first, but eventually flex enough that you can jog in them if need be just fine. The colors are bright and ugly, the way I like all my trail shoes. Look great with jeans, keep you plenty warm and dry in wet Seattle weather.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was slow since I live locally, took 5 days (including weekend) to ship it less than 30 miles because REI uses combined Fedex/USPS. Would prefer some sort of pickup option for local residents, or ship it USPS only and take less than 1 day.

I was looking new technical shoes over regular bulky hiking shoes. Little less to know addidas has some cool shoes. More I research the technology and I wanted to try out.
It is weired to feel the all the rocks will push into the sole but you don't feel poking your feet at all. I have not worn long enough to have all the different train but I'm very happy with it.

I absolutely love these shoes. I don't really know what happen to the guy that rated it one star but when I first got these I broke them in with a 8 mile rugged hike through Tuolumne to the base of Matthes Crest and they held up fine. They do feel really stiff when you first wear them but once broken in they are awesome. Sensitivity at the front of the shoe is great around the toes and ball of the foot and the mid foot and heel has just the right amount of rigidity and stability to take on anything you throw underneath it. They are still my go to shoes for long approaches. My only complaint is that these shoes aren't water proof.
I've had them for over a year and have been using them for parkour as well and they are still holding up. Will probably resole these when the time comes or buy another pair.

Adidas miss the mark with this shoes. I got them because had great reviews and they look cool. I did small walks (5 km) and they seem to be pretty good. I did an apporach walking closed to 20-30 km a day... this shoes are good for small walks only. I never had problem with my hiking shoes until now. I definely would not say this shoes are for apporach and outdoor shoes. They are good for tourist to walk around the mall.
