Comments about Atlas 925 Snowshoes:
Bought these to upgrade from some Yukon Charlies and guy at REI store they were as good as MSRs- so tried them out. Shoes were easy to put on, but echo the comment of others that the bindings stiffen up when they get ice on them and hard to release. They didn't have as much bite as the YCs (and not even close to MSRs) and with a different shape of the cleat found that I almost tripped once or twice walking up hill with them (hasn't happened with other types I'm used). Quality of the shoe appeared a bit better than the YCs, but otherwise disappointed and returned them.

Comments about Atlas 925 Snowshoes:
Keep in mind, I'd only rented snow shoes once prior to purchasing these, so I don't have much experience with snow shoes.
Since my purchase, I've gone on two (5-7) mile hikes in these and am very happy with their performance. They are lightweight, and the ability of the binding to rotate seems to really help when traversing uneven terrain.
I find them very easy to get on, but I always seem to have trouble getting them off quickly.
Two features that I'd like to try that these do not have:
1) the flip up bar towards the heel to assist with long uphill climbs. After summiting a few peaks, I can see how that would be helpful
2) a spring binding that keeps the tail end up when you step to make stepping over obstacles and backing up easier. - I got into an area on our second hike with some fallen trees in about 4 ft of snow and it was tricky to navigate with the tail end flopping around.
I went with the smallest size for my height and weight (6'2" - 175) as I don't see myself backpacking through the snow anytime soon. Only once or twice is some really deep, fresh snow, did I feel like a larger shoe would have been nice.
