Mammut Rime Pro Jacket - Men'sis rated4.5out of5by4.
Rated5out of5byHighlanderfromGreat product!I bought this jacket specifically for a 4 day camping trip in the Sierras, where temps were in the 40-50's at night. During night hikes I wore this jacket and it regulated my body temp very nicely. I never got to hot or chilly in this jacket, and it kept me at that perfect temp. When standing around the fire at night this jacket again kept me warm and comfy. I had to use this jacket as a pillow one night and I must say when rolled up into that position it was soft and comfortable. Way to go Mammut!!!

Rated4out of5byNazca8fromMy first Mammut and it won't be my lastI've worn this Mammut jacket for a few months now and taken them to a few cold weather outings.
First of all, the bad. The main zipper is not an easy one to operate. It normally takes me a 3-4 tries before I can latch it properly and zip it up. The zipper is a two way zipper, where you can unzip it from the bottom to access whatever in your belt area. The other zippers on the jackets are fine.
The inside of the pockets also uses a different materials (similar to Marmot's Driclime) which I don't really like. It's the kinds of materials that isn't very comfortable if you have dry skins on your hands, which most of us probably do. With they'd just use the same materials as the outer layer.
Overall, I really like this jacket, it provides a very good warmth (not as warm as down jacket), excellent windbreaker, good enough hood with some adjustments points, still warm even when wet and seems fairly durable. I was out taking picture around midnight at Zion NP, temp around 26F, standing still with my tripod, wearing a heavy weight baselayer and fleece underneath this jacket and I was warm the whole two hours I was out there. If only I can say the same about my hands.
When comparing this to my Arc'Teryx Atom LT (also an insulated jacket), this Mammut jacket is definitely warmer than the Atom LT. Although the Arc'teryx seems to have better build quality and better materials overall.
Lastly the fitting. I'm 5'11", 158 lb and I bought a medium. It fits me pretty good, although it's a bit on the loose side, especially comparing it to my Arc'teryx Atom LT, also in medium, which is a better fit (more fitted) for me.

Rated4out of5byihateamtfromwarm and comfyFeels like wearing a warm and cozy sleeping bag.
But what's up with the zipper? I just does not work smoothly. As a result, I predict it will break in a year or two.

Rated5out of5bytx2nycfromAmazingGreat jacket lightweight and warm! The only thing I don't like is that the hood isn't detachable. Although I am very happy to see REI FINALLY carrying Mammut clothing products. When are you getting their gloves?
