The North Face Varius Guide men's pants offer all-weather, breathable protection to keep you dry and warm during backcountry endeavors. Wear them when trekking through wet and windy regions.

  • 2-layer pants are made from HyVent® nylon for durable, waterproof protection; nylon taffeta lining slides comfortably over under layers
  • All seams are sealed for weather-tight protection
  • Full-length, 2-way side zippers offer easy on/off over footwear; they're also convenient in inclement weather
  • Rip-and-stick waist closure adjusts the fit; brushed waistband lining is warm and soft, and wicks moisture
  • Removable, adjustable, elastic suspenders offer a secure fit; features easy-to-use front-only connectors
  • Internal gaiters with elastic grippers seal out elements; reinforced inner ankles resist abrasion
  • The North Face Varius Guide pants feature 2 hand pockets and a thigh pocket

The pants look and feel great. the suspenders do dig into my delts/pecs w/winter pack (maybe why they were on clearance rack. the side zips bind...ALWAYS. i have to undo my pack and pull dowm me bloomers to unbind the zips. not fun on the dome of Washington w/80mph wind, 70 below:)
other than that i really do like them...honest. thinking of returning but will prob keep but plan on not touching them if its real cold cause they are super warm and the gators(that heave velcro/snaps)are great.

    These pants are great for when it's raining. In a pinch, they would come through in a snow storm but I would recommend the TFN Freedom Insulated Pants for inclement weather. I would consider these pants a little too warm to use in the spring but I guess you could go commando and be fine. Overall, these pants are top quality and protect you from wetness.

    BTW, I'm 5'7 (32x29) and around 150lbs. I ordered a Medium Short Inseam and they fit PERFECTLY.
