Burton Imperial snowboard boots are the result of 30 years of boot-building expertise. These bang-for-your-buck boots are packed full of tech to take your boarding to the next level.

    • Get a comfortable fit right out of the box: industry-exclusive toe box construction offers a quick break-in period and increases warmth and comfort
    • Shrinkage™ technology reduces boot's overall footprint by 1 full size, minimizing boot overhang, bulk and weight
    • Superlight and resilient shell panels evenly distribute strap pressure to maximize rebound and resist breakdown; their flex remains consistent, season after season
    • Imprint™ 3 liners move with you for increased agility and response; rip-and-stick liner closures
    • Rad Pad cushioning is built into liners
    • Liners provide a consistent flex over time and slide on and off feet easily; precurved ankle panels reduce lace pressure on front of legs
    • Medium-flexing, slim, 3D-molded tongues wrap the forefeet in comfort, offer a seamless flex and reduce performance-robbing shell/liner stack-up
    • Snow-proof internal gussets on boot tongues completely seal lower boot zones to keep feet warm and dry
    • Streamlined Speed Zone™ shell lacing lets you fine-tune the upper and lower zones in seconds; this system offers powerful rebound, wrap and response with minimal effort
    • To make entry and exit easy, Burton has added a pull loop on the tongue as well as a lace pull tab that releases both the upper and lower zones simultaneously
    • Molded EVA footbeds with a supportive shank lessen the blow of hardpack landings
    • Low-profile EST™ midsoles with a reduced ramp angle lower your center of gravity for improved boot feel; ultra-damping B3 gel inserts cushion without added weight
    • Vibram® EcoStep™ outsoles are made with recycled rubber and backed by nearly 70 years of mountaineering knowledge for superior traction, feel and light weight
    • Dual-density grippy rubber spikes dig into ice to help prevent slippage when off your board; durable toe material helps binding toe straps stay in place

Average weight specification is per pair, based on size 9.

Comments about Burton Imperial Snowboard Boots - 2012/2013:

I bought these boots after trying on sevrial different pairs. This boot offers a grate responce and holds your heal down with confort. the only thing I did not like about this boot is that i have a little bit wider foot and after 15-20 minutes there was a prusure point on the top outside of my foot that was unbairable. So to sum it all up, if you dont have wide feet this boot is amazing, if your foot is a little wide you might want to try another size or a wider boot.

Comments about Burton Imperial Snowboard Boots - 2012/2013:

I bought this as replacement for my old K2 Ryker boots. While Ryker was very harsh on my feet if I wore them few days in a row, Imperials felt very comfortable. I spent 4 full days in a row in Imperials on my last trip, and they were simply great. My left and right feet are almost full size apart, and boot initially felt pressing hard against thumb on my larger foot. However, before the end of day one, the boot nicely adjusted.

I like the speed lace system on Imperials more then Boa system on Ryker. It's very easy to adjust lower and upper zones and find that perfect setting. Having tried both, I think speed lace is better system.

I mostly rode groomers and some easy through the trees runs with a smaller jump here and there, and the boot felt nicely responsive. I don't ride parks or pipes, so can't comment there.

Comments about Burton Imperial Snowboard Boots - 2012/2013:

Excited to try these out on snow. A few of my friends have owned Imperials in 2011 and 12 and really liked them. I like the new toe box in the 2013 model since the '11 and 12' models had a shape that collapsed a little with a tight toe strap (I crank my union forces to the recommended 4 notches still showing). The collapse may not happen with a Burton gettagrip toe strap that wraps the front of the toe more. Other than the new shape (stitching and material arrangement) the Imperial seems to be the same as last year. There is however more articulation (ability to flex forward with the small stretchy bits of materials at the ankle crease) that will allow this boot to maintain it's flex and last a few seasons. I tried on a lot of boots and these are by far the most comfortable. Very true to size. The Imperials are stiff but comfy out of the box and will be fully broken in after a few solid days on the mountain. I also really like the speed zone lacing which is the the same as my last Forum (Burton) boots. It's very dependable and allows you to tighten on the go and halfway through the day (a lot of people swear by traditional laces but I like this quick lace better). I also like it better than boa, but that's just my opinion. I'd say I'm an all mountain freestyle rider that likes riding trees, switch, and carving. No park or huge jumps. This 7/10 flex should be great for that. Happy riding everyone!
