I picked these up because I wanted to experiment with a lighter mitten... specifically if they were still sufficiently warm without all the bulk of the very large mittens. I brought them with me to Ouray as emergency back up but ended up using them because my normal gloves got soaked and they worked a treat. The articulation and construction of the mitten actually means that the dexterity is better than the ice climbing gloves I use and my hands stayed warmer. I have small hands and my little finger is much shorter than the other fingers (so gloves are always a problem for me) but these fit beautifully. Give them a try ice climbers!
