Comments about Keen Laken High Waterproof Boots - Women's:
These feel like slippers, they are so comfy for tall boots. Keen as usual doesn't let me down. Go with casual skirts and tights and I'm in my 50's.

Comments about Keen Laken High Waterproof Boots - Women's:
Although they are a tad small (which I find common with Keen's), they are not uncomfortable. I love that you can wear any socks with them and your feet will still be toasty warm and dry. I wear them (urban) biking in the rain, and they also did marvelous at the beach.

Comments about Keen Laken High Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I adore these boots!
They are a little expensive which is why I didn't try them on initially, but my mom decided to help me buy it for Xmas.
I have been wearing these bad boys in Colorado rain, snow, or shine. They are great for walking over snow (and I'm always paranoid about slipping), they are very comfortable, and they can take a beating from constant use and bad weather. The insulation also keeps your feet pretty warm!
I had to get half a size larger than I normally wear for them to fit perfect. Pretty good support, I can walk in them all day! I have also gotten *many* compliments on how cute they look. :)
Would definitely get these again after the ones I have now fall apart in the future. Very good investment in my mind.

Comments about Keen Laken High Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I was a little hesitant to purchase these boots at my local REI only because they were pretty expensive for a grad student budget. But after trying them on in the store two different times I decided to go for it. Three weeks and 2 feet of Salt Lake City snow later, I am completely sold.
I walk 3-4 blocks every morning to the bus stop and the sidewalks aren't always cleared when I start my early morning commute. These boots are absolutely warm throughout the entire morning walk.
The best part of these boots, however, is the waterproof material. I was concerned that the zipper would be a weak spot and allow water/snow in, but after really testing these boots out, I have yet to find fault with this- it's been great.
Another pro: I feel very stable in these boots. The tread is aggressive and I feel balanced even over uneven terrain. I don't think, however, that they are any more or less "slip resistant" on ice or packed snow than any other shoe or boot. To improve on this aspect, I will probably get a pair of YakTrax or Ice Trekkers or something of that nature.
I am they type of person to wear tennis shoes year round and I'm not particularly concerned with fashion. Instead I like wearing shoes that are comfortable and lightweight throughout the day. I bought these boots thinking I would just wear them outside when the weather was not great, but I actually find myself wearing them all day because they are comfortable and warm.
In short, I was concerned about purchasing these boots because of the price and I wasn't completely convinced they would keep my feet dry in the winter. After three weeks of constant use though, these boots have exceeded my expectations and I would purchase them again.
