by fromPearl Izumi Elite Soft-Shell Bike Gloves I do not just use these gloves when I am cycling but whenever I am outside and I want to keep my hands harm. Not exactly good for hard labor, but perfect for walking around on the town.

by fromBad Gloves, returning ASAP Bought these gloves and used them for the first time this week. The problem is that the fleece liner, the insulation and the leather palm are not sewn together, meaning that the palm can slip and slide almost two inches. I rode these for about a half hour before I had to take them off because my hands were aching. The sliding around makes you grip harder and your hands start to hurt. I almost always buy Pearl Izumi gear because it is almost always great. In this case they really missed the mark.I also own a pair of PI Lobster mitts and would use them instead because they do not have the slipping palms and they are about the same warmth/insulation. If you are looking for heavy gloves for winter riding, I'd stay away from these and possibly look at the Lobster Mitts.

by fromAwesome cold-weather gloves I bought these about a year ago for cold weather riding. I ride about 50-60 miles a week, most urban commuting. Most of my trips are 3-5 miles. I could not be happier with these gloves. My hands have almost never gotten cold. I live in DC where it doesn't get much below 10-15 degrees, and most of the time I'm riding in 30-40 degree weather if I'm wearing these gloves. They are comfortable, have nice padding, and most importantly keep the digits warm. I'm buying another pair for my brother for Christmas.

by fromGreat Gloves I really like the Pear Izumi Elete stuff. These gloves are one more addition to my cold weather PI Elete go-to clothing. They fit very nicely. The material on the finger tips gives a good grasp of the brake levers. The cloth on the top of the thumbs is great for a drippy nose when riding in the cold. They also have velcro tabs that loosen the cuffs for easy on and off. These glove will only take me down to about 40 F. Below that I have to go to my PI lobster claw mittens with glove liners. Of course, at age 72, it may be that I am just cold blooded. These gloves are much better than ones I have had from other bike clothing manufacturers.
