    I was looking for a low cut hiker to wear on more casual adventures, but still have the cushion of my other REI hiking socks. I love my "REI Merino Wool Mini Crew Light Hiking Socks - Women's" - they are considered "Light Hiking" but have lots of cushioning and they are my go to socks! I was really hoping that the "Light Hiker Quarter Socks" would be similar, but they have far less cushion and run VERY small. I wear a M in the Mini Crew style, and bought these in a L because they looked smaller, but they are still very snug. I wear a 9.5/10 shoe/boot. I guess I will be sticking with my Crew style - but I wish those came in better colors!! The Quarter socks are alright if you are looking for cute, snug fitting, light cushioning socks :)
