Comments about Osprey Comet Daypack:
Great for all around uses as Osprey does market this line of packs. Its awesome for commuting, around the office, and the general coming and goings of daily life. I've used it snowshoeing up to Chasm Lake on Longs Peak and it did great, but for long trail runs and other fast accents I'd take a more stream line pack.
Downsides (if you don't use it for these purposes): Designed for a large computer and little wider than I'd like for my 11" macbook air, and small hip belt thats not good for load bearing only for keeping the pack from bouncing but its removable if you don't want it.
Pros: Very Durable, well thought out pockets, compressible so the extra space isn't much of a problem, and very comfortable. It should be a great pack for years to come!

Comments about Osprey Comet Daypack:
I got this bag to use on my bike commutes to school as well as day hikes this summer. It says it only fits a 15" laptop, but my 17" laptop fits with no issues. Then I still have room for a textbook or two and workout gear. It's handy, comfortable, and I love the pocket set-up. One side pocket is perfect for carrying my laptop battery while the other is handy for shoving my wallet and other items into.
I've also used this on some short bike trips around the city and am about to take it camping with me in Utah. I love everything about it. My only complaint is that it's not exactly waterproof (nor does it claim to be), and so I was a little worried for my laptop when it started pouring rain on my commute home. It was fine, but I'm still not confident of its ability in heavy rain.

I use this backpack for traveling. My laptop fits great with plenty of room for other good stuff. It is just the right size to fit everything. I do not like have a backpack that is bulky. Looks cool also.

Comments about Osprey Comet Daypack:
An excellent lightweight pack. It's trial by fire was a week in Florida theme parks during unusually cold weather so I needed to carry sweaters and windbreakers for four as well as the usual camera gear and etc. Even stuffed it rode well and the handles turned out to be extremely useful getting on and off rides. The large main compartment and smaller ancillaries worked perfectly for storing clothes and segregating little necessities. A second cold weather trip in New England reinforced its excellent build quality and nice sizing. The comet just made four other packs in my closet obsolete. Unless you are packing heavy this one is all you need.

Comments about Osprey Comet Daypack:
I use this backpack for every day commuting. It's light, comfortable and has pockets in the right places. I love the handle on the belly of the pack and the adjustable straps all over the pack.
My one con would be that the zipper constantly snags. One would think companies would make the fabric around the zipper thick enough to not be swallowed by the zipper itself!

I bought the daypack for our tour trip to Asia last year. I like its front handle which makes thing easy thru airport security. The look is quite trendy compared with other brands.
After the trip, I have been using the daypack for so many different purposes and it works great. I use it to carry 15" laptop for work, 100 oz water hydration for hiking and cycling, and extra clothing for day trip. In general, it has enough open spaces for all sizes. It also has the convenient top pocket for keys and phones to have a quick access.

Comments about Osprey Comet Daypack:
This bag is awesome. I was looking to replace an old beloved North Face backpack that was falling apart at the seams. Thought I would branch out and try the 24/7 Osprey line since they had some great reviews and a large range of sizes so I was sure I was going to find something to fit the bill. I had some specific requirements for a new backpack as I want it to be able to multitask as a shopping bag for trips to the store, travel bag for a weekend trip (or tropical getaway if I pack light), computer/photography bag, day hiking pack and as a triathlon/workout bag. Tall order, I know. This bag happily fits that bill. I had originally gone with the Quantum which is the largest of the packs at 34L and has a front stash pocket- a feature that I loved about my old backpack- but it turns out the front pocket is pretty small and the side compression straps fit over the awkwardly shaped external compartments making access very difficult.
Enter the Comet. It's a little smaller at 28L but the organization is so much better for me than the Quantum that it was worth sacrificing the space. At the end of the day, this pack is still huge. The organization is really well thought out- it has two roomy side entry panels in the front that separates all your quick access stuff from the main compartment and a little zip pocket at the top for phone, keys, etc. Main compartment also has an organizer on the front panel which is great for small, loose items. The laptop compartment has a separate pocket for iPad or Kindle and a small elastic pouch for an iPod. So simple yet so useful! Two side stash pockets are large enough for a 32 oz Nalgene that you can clip to the compression straps so it doesn't fall out. The front handle weirded me out at first and aesthetically I don't love it but it's definitely more useful than I thought it would be.
There are a lot of dangling straps on this bag which is a bit on the downside, although these might be useful if you travel with an ice axe. I wish the hip belt was a bit more substantial and could tuck away behind the back panel; I hate having to remove straps that get lost, etc. It's a great looking pack but more on the outdoorsy side than professional even if you get it in black. I ended up getting another small laptop backpack in black for more professional environments, which is fine since it allowed me to get the Comet in a fun yellow.
Love it so far!

Comments about Osprey Comet Daypack:
I kept going back and forth between this bag and several different brand name messenger bags. I frequently commute to work for a 6 mile one way bike ride and needed something comfortable to transport extra clothing, water, snacks, and my 13 inch MacBook Pro. I actually tested out a few messenger bags first but ultimately decided on this bag for commuting. Great idea! It transports everything I need with comfort and control. I like that the bag is "deep" and holds the laptop vertically - so everything feels streamlined as opposed to the sometimes awkward feel of a horizontal messenger bag stuffed with everything I need for work. I'm a small framed female, 5'4" and this bags fits well. The added bonus to this bag? I now use it for air travel. The front handle allows for easy grabbing out of the security check points, and its easy to carry it like that on board the plane. Really dig this bag. Woot! Woot!

Comments about Osprey Comet Daypack:
Absolutely love the colour options Osprey offers. Mine is described as 'Ice Blue', but it is more like a rich ocean blue.
So far I have used it when I go to my gym and when to carry a change of clothes for when I punch out of work. I originally bought it for school which starts in a week. Judging from how I have used it so far I think it I made a great choice for something that stands out without being too loud.
I love the little details found on it. The extra load bearing straps, the simple and ergonomic design that allows for quick access even when you are still wearing the bag. The handle that sticks out in front is handy for when getting out of the car.
The pads feel assuring that I am not going to feel drained after a day full of carrying it around. And the meshing is noticeably of higher grade than what you would come to expect from your larger retailers.
There are a lot of straps on the bag. I'm guessing they are there for those who plan on really utilizing the bag functionality. They don't bother me at all. The whistle found on the front buckle I can only imagine will come in real handy one day.
The only issue I have with this product is the periodic snagging of the zipper when opening it. Doesn't happen often, and even when it does it doesn't take any coaxing to un-snag it.
In summation, it's a great looking bag that serves its purpose.
