      This boot is the kind of shoe I put on and don't want to take off! They are cozy, cute, and comfortable. The only con is that one of the zippers is a bit tricky to unzip. I'm not sure if this is a faulty zipper or just an issue with the gusset underneath. I'm happy I bought with my REI membership so if the zipper fails someday, I'm covered! Otherwise, I'm super happy with these boots and hope they never wear out.

        Bought them to travel to Japan this spring. Great versatility because they were easy to take on & on while temple hopping. They held up to miles of walking.

        I also bought the brown color several months ago so the shoe has been a great fit for my hard to fit feet. The original footbeds are OK, but I suggest replacing them with a more substantially supportive one. The boots maybe a half size more than shoes because I did not need to buy half size bigger to accommodate my custom orthotics.

        I'm on my feet most of the day working with kids who sometimes step on my shoes and the boots clean up easily with a quick wipe.

            I expected these Merrell Captiva Mid boots to be as comfortable as the fabulous, comfy tall Captiva boots I bought at REI 18 months ago. Those are the best pair of boots I've ever worn. The Captiva Mid style was not. The Captiva Mid squeezed my little toes and the top of the boots hit my ankles/legs awkwardly. I took these back to REI for a refund.

              I wear them all the time, rain, snow, cold…whatever - if they get a little dirty running out and about in Alaska - the Valley or if I go to Anchorage - I just get a wet cloth and they look great again! Nice looking boot. So glad I bought them.
