Comments about The North Face Enzo Shell Jacket - Men's:

My hubby got this jacket and he is in heaven :), this was an update from 12 years old high end Gore-Tex jacket and let's say the technology evolved beyond our belief. The material feels durable, but light and incredibly warm. My husband is slim with wide shoulders and this jacket fits him like a glove. Nothing but praise for this great jacket, I just wish North Face would make some cool colours for women as well. The blue and orange together look so cool :)

Comments about The North Face Enzo Shell Jacket - Men's:

This thing looks exactly like the Patgonia Primo jacket. Both are roughly the same price, except Patagonia has waterproof zippers, and the Primo jacket has been along for year, whereas this knockoff is not that great.

Comments about The North Face Enzo Shell Jacket - Men's:

So far I have used this as my backcountry jacket and rain shell and its held up well. It beats the pants off of the 'e-vent' rain shell I bought about 6 months ago, which fails to keep my dry. I feel comfortable stashing my phone in the pockets even when in the rain. The only way I have been wet in this coat is if I got wet before putting it on, or I've found a way to work up a sweat. It seems fairly durable. I love the hood on it, the pockets are nice and big, the vents are great too, and it fits over my other mountain gear nicely. My only gripe is that the main zipper catches almost every time I zip it up. It's a minor annoyance, and if that's my worst issue with this coat, then I'll be happy so long as I'm still dry.

Comments about The North Face Enzo Shell Jacket - Men's:

Let me preface this review by saying that I originally bought this jacket to wear as a all-in-one shell for multiple uses.

As most TNF products, the Enzo is well built with plenty of attention to detail. The fit was great, and the styling was superb.

I ended up returning the Enzo for a couple of reasons...

              1. No removable powder skirt. If you watch the video, the jacket that is advertised shows a zippered-removable powder skirt. That is not the jacket that you will receive if you order it online. The powder skirt is stitched and NOT removable.

              2. HUGE hood. This jacket was apparently made for skiers and snowboarders who wear helmets. One of my intended purposes for the jacket was for hiking. Although the hood is adjustable, and one can use it without a helmet, there is still a massive amount of material that poofs out of the sides and rear of the hood without a helmet on.

I realized after receiving the jacket in the mail that it would not be suitable for my needs. I like having the extra pockets for hiking, but the powder skirt is a definite "no-no" when wearing a moderate to heavy pack. If the skirt were removable, I may have kept the Enzo. TNF made a good product in the Enzo, but it just didn't fit my needs.

I purchased the more "hiking friendly" Point Five jacket and couldn't be happier. Although it does have a very minimalist-type styling, it suits my needs perfectly.
