    Comments about Mountain Hardwear Snowzilla Shell Jacket - Men's:

    I bought this primarily as a ski shell but I'm not sure I like the color, maybe it will grow on me. I haven't had it long enough to use in snow but just had it out on a long day hike on Minnesota's north shore with humid conditions. It was very comfortable, especially when I remembered to use the pit zips.
    Sizing is a bit of a challenge for me. I bought a small although I often wear mediums. The small is still a little long in the arm for me (dress shirt sleeve length of 32") but by tightening the Velcro cuffs that alleviated the problem. This will likely be a little snug in the chest for me with a fleece or other liner underneath. And, it is slightly short in the body but I'm sure a medium would have been way to long in the arms.
    The hood is huge which fits with the intended purpose of fitting a helmet under the hood.
    Unlike some shells there is no insulation or additional liner so this is fairly lightweight. Expect to have to wear at least one fleece layer in cold weather.

    The one complaint I have is the chest pocket is not well-designed. The opening is on top rather than a side zip. The opening is high and hard to fit fingers into. The positive trade-off is that it is unlikely anything will fall out.
